About Lakewood Garage Door Pros
After You Call
You call the number, you describe what the door is doing (or not doing), and we talk through whether it's a same-day fix or something that needs parts ordered. A door that won't open because of a snapped torsion spring is a different job than an opener that clicks but doesn't lift, and we try to sort out which one you've got before a truck ever leaves.
We don't promise a window we can't hit. If a part has to come in, we tell you that up front rather than guessing. Most of what we see on a service call in this area - broken cables, bent track, worn rollers, dead opener logic boards - doesn't need a special order, but garage doors that use older, less common hardware sometimes do, and we'd rather say that now than have you waiting on a truck that isn't coming.
Once we're at the house, we look at the whole door assembly, not just the symptom you called about. A spring failure on an older door often means the opposite spring is close behind it, and we'll tell you that instead of leaving you to call back in six months.
Who Does the Work
The people who show up at your door are the people who do the repair - no dispatcher-to-sub handoff, no second company finishing what the first one started. We work on torsion and extension springs, tracks, cables, rollers, openers, and panel replacement, which covers the bulk of what fails on a garage door in this climate.
We're straightforward about scope. We don't do new garage construction, and we're not the people to call for a full structural opening change. If what you need is a repair, a spring swap, an opener replacement, or a new door on an existing opening, that's the work we take.
The Areas We Cover
We work out of 441 Wadsworth Blvd and cover the neighborhoods around Lakewood directly - Belmar Park a mile ENE, Kendrick Lake a mile SE, Foothills and Union Square to the west and northwest, Green Mountain and Carmody to the south, Daniels and Eiber just north, and Applewood both the close-in pocket three miles north and the named area four miles out.
Farther out, we reach West Pleasant View, Wheat Ridge, Morrison, Sheridan, Idledale, Englewood, Columbine, Genesee, Indian Hills, Ken Caryl, Berkley, Glendale, Cherry Hills Village, Kittredge, Twin Lakes, North Washington, Sherrelwood, Evergreen, Welby, Federal Heights, Westminster, Aspen Park, Derby, Cherry Creek, Superior, Louviers, Northglenn, Roxborough Park, and Meridian. Distance matters for scheduling - a same-day call closer to Wadsworth Blvd is easier to slot in than one 16 or 18 miles out, so if you're in Superior or Meridian, say so when you call and we'll be upfront about timing.
The Work We Take On
Most of the houses we service were built somewhere between 1938 and 2005, with a heavy concentration from the 1960s and '70s, and that stretch of building years shows up in the doors themselves. A lot of homes still have the original torsion hardware from decades ago, sized for door weights and spring wind that newer stock parts don't always match cleanly. We carry what covers the common cases and we're honest when something needs a special-order spring or a discontinued track profile - that's the one real limitation worth naming, and it's better to hear it from us than to have a mismatched part fail again in a year.
Colder, harsher winters here are rough on steel springs and nylon rollers, and we see more cable and spring failures through the cold months than in summer. We handle broken springs, bent or off-track doors, failed openers, worn rollers and cables, and full door replacement when a panel is too far gone to patch. We don't do general handyman work or unrelated home repair - garage doors and openers are the job.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work on older torsion spring setups, or only newer doors?
We work on both. Given how much of the housing here dates to the 1960s and '70s, older torsion setups are a regular part of the job. Some of that hardware uses spring sizes that aren't stocked everywhere, so if yours is unusual we'll tell you before we order anything.
How far out from Lakewood do you go?
We cover the close-in areas like Belmar Park, Foothills, and Green Mountain easily, and we also reach farther spots on our list such as Evergreen, Westminster, and Northglenn. The farther out you are, the more that affects same-day scheduling, so mention your area when you call.
Is every repair something you can finish same-day?
Most spring, cable, roller, and opener repairs are same-day because we carry the common parts. If your door needs a part we don't carry on the truck, we'll tell you that on the spot and give you a straight answer on when it can come in.
Do you install new garage doors or just repair them?
We install new doors on existing openings and handle panel replacement, but we don't do new construction or structural changes to the opening itself. If your project is a repair, a replacement door, or an opener swap, that's work we take on.
